THE INSPIRATION FOR THE OSCAR-NOMINATED MOTION PICTURE 'JOJO RABBIT'
? Caging Skies is a work of rare power; a stylistic and storytelling triumph. Writer director Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, Hunt for the Wilderpeople), brings his signature style of humour and pathos to his latest film, Jojo Rabbit, a World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy (Roman Griffin Davis as JoJo) whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. After his parents disappear, Johannes is the only one aware of Elsa s existence in the house and he alone is responsible for her fate. The soundtrack includes three score cues alongside classic tracks performed in German from The Beatles, Roy Orbison and David Bowie, as well as songs from Ella Fitzgerald, Tom Waits, Love and more. After he’s disfigured in a raid, Johannes focuses more and more on his connection with the girl behind the wall. His initial horror turns to interest then love and obsession.

This book is about a boy who is very pro Hitler. His parents disappear which means he is the only one who is aware of Elsa and he stands by her through it all!
What an absolutely thrilling read! He is absolutely horrified at this, yet during an air raid this turns to intrigue, love and obsession! I was so emotionally touched by this book it really is a must! The back of the book got me right from the start!
