I was looking for taro flavouring but could only find Bulk powders, I came across ube which is supposed to taste quite similar to taro but apparently richer, so I bought this and it does taste a lot like taro! Its really good. I made cookies and used the Ube Flavor Extract.

I added 2 drops in my maja blanca (coconut pudding). The first few drops will give the popular ube colour but it will take a few more to get the flavour. I mix with my half & half and is my favorite foam For a loaf tin-sized cake, 1 tbsp of this will already give a nice dark purple colour but I've had to add another tbsp to get a hint of the taste.

I will buy more of this ube extract. Would recommend adding a purple yam jam/ ube halaya for the taste. My cookies were soft, moist and flavorful.

I made ube boba tea, cheaper and more convenient than going to a bubble tea shop
