Not sure if that’s the same as the nail softener as shown in the photos for this item but there was a sticker put on the box that says mail softener. I guess I’ll continue to use it and wait and see how it goes but I do notice a difference at least in my discomfort level.
So I don’t know. The nail itself doesn’t feel that much softer to me but the skin kind of does. What I received however is a “Protective Nail and Skin Oil’. I ordered this nail softener in an attempt to help my ingrown toenails so I could have some pain relief and eventually cut it out.
In any event, I’ve been using it about once a day for the past few days and I can confirm it has so far seemed to soften the area around the ingrown and therefore it is less swollen/painful but it’s still a little painful if I try to get at the ingrown, so I’m going to use it for a bit longer and then attempt to cut it.
