Reviews

Debbie Smith

Powerful, punchy descriptions evoke roaring seas and blustery gales; at the same time, May's conversational voice blasts and scolds and questions as she grapples with insights into her own Life. Katherine May writes from personal experience with simple yet profound prose to conjure up places and emotions which resonate. This was a compelling read - a rollercoaster of emotions, realizations & acceptance from which, perhaps, we might all draw a lesson or two. I loved her first book, 'Wintering' & so discovered 'The Electricity of Every Living Thing', which resonated with me even more.
