It works by relaxing the cramping muscles of your bowel. Buscopan IBS Relief Tablets provide fast relief from abdominal cramps, bloating, and other intestinal discomfort associated with irritable bowel syndrome. Adults and children over 12 years: One 3 times daily, increased if necessary up to 2 tablets 4 times daily for maximum relief. Active ingredient hyoscine butylbromide 10mg  The other ingredients are: calcium hydrogen phosphate, maize starch, soluble starch, colloidal silica, tartaric acid, stearic acid, sucrose, talc, acacia, titanium dioxide, macrogol 6000, carnauba wax, white beeswax and povidone.

• It does not contain gluten.
• It should not be taken for extended periods or daily without investigating the cause of pain.
• It is not recommended to take more than the recommended dose.
• The active ingredient, hyoscine butylbromide, derived from a species of the plant Duboisia has proven effectiveness of more than 50 years.
