I do wish it came with a definitive guide as to what was what, as they are natural stones so not all of them look like the pictures. Only small down side is that sometimes it was difficult to match stones to the guide photos. The fluorite was faded and the amethyst did not have a chevron.

If you feel like taking a shot at it, I still recommend this advent calendar overall :) Overall a very good product I highly recommend.

( child friendly! It's supposed to be rose quartz, but clearly something happened that removed all of the rosiness from the actual stone. As a gift it was very well received The best advent calendar we've ever seen!

Very expensive for what it is really. There are about 3-4 that I'm not quite certain on the identification of. The stones are in good sizes, beautifully polished and lovely to touch. Good quality stones and many types.

I’d highly recommend this to any parents whose children have a passion in minerals. My 6 year old loves it. The blue calcite was not blue. Plus that’s kind of what I expect with things like this, lots of variables and no guarantees.

However, some of the rocks I received were genuinely beautiful specimens. My only wish is that the necklace holder was bigger since most of the gems were too big to actually fit. A wonderful start for his own crystal collection!

Neither was the sodalite or quartz. My daughter adores this and we were both really impressed with the size of the gemstones. That's until today (day5) it appears that today's Gemstone is the inside of a Geode. This was for my 6 year old this December and he absolutely loved it.
