If you're like me and enjoy big puzzles the 2000 board is perfect with some extra space once the puzzle is done and plenty of space for piece organizing while doing smaller puzzles, but if you don't venture with large puzzles I'd recommend the 1000 or 1500 size instead because the 2000 is pretty huge. And although it's a bit heavy, it is sturdy and turns easily so you can work closely on a different area of the puzzle. We’ve easily been able to move it between the dining room and kitchen table freeing up whichever table we need. The material helps grip the pieces nicely while doing puzzles at an angle and the edges are all elevated boxing in the puzzle so the pieces can't easily slide off and get lost.
