Good book. Was so insightful that I actually bought a second one so I can share it around with friends, I really couldn't recommend more. Annoying to say the least For anyone looking for an introduction to Zen values, wanting help dealing with stress, or simply trying to find the essence of what makes them happy, then this book is a great place to start.

amd there was no seal on book and even no proper packing exceot just amazon cover. now about the content; it’s pretty normal, it’s what the title says- ‘simple living’ it doesn’t have many ‘mindset-shifting’ content but it’s a 10/10 for adding beauty to ur bookshelf :D

Hence some of you(especially those who love lengthy books) may find this book boring. I got it for 386 RS. The Zen transmission started from Buddha and later Bodhidharma introduced it in China and in japan. Due to the nature of the cover you should probably expect it to be marked/damaged.

The outcome, as the author explains, is both kinder to ourselves and to those we encounter. The ideas expressed within present small changes that require very little (if any) material input, instead they encourage a shift in perception and habits. In the beginning of the book the writer- head of the 450 years old monastery tells us that one will understand more about Zen simple by walking and enjoying the beauty of a zen than by reading out all the zen books out there. Even if your not Zen Buddhist there's something to be learnt.
