It could be argued that this album defines the entire grunge music era of the 1990's, Whilst Nevermind was the break through for the seattle scene, It wasn't really grunge. The media could not be loaded. This album is a masterpiece.

Sometimes, the people in charge of things do it right. September 29, 1992 marked the first release of this milestone in music history. Along with Nirvana's 'Nevermind', Pearl Jams 'Ten' and Soundgardens 'Badmotorfinger,' Alice in Chains 'Dirt' has to be considered one of the all time great albums of the grunge scene in the 1990's. matte print would have worked much better here.

All instruments are better placed on stage and the overall mastering also sounds better compared to the first edition on vinyl. You'll no longer have to worry about pressings that are too quiet or suffer from a loss of detail. The Vinyl version that I own here is fantastic, sounds fantastic and has the rich sound you expect from vinyl compared to CD's and digital versions. I used to be sticker-shocked at the price of records these days but, hey it's not the 80's anymore where you would pay less than $10 for a new vinyl record haha.

Dirt is grunge. After a long period of research and many questions via Insta to the owners of this repress, no one could really tell me whether the sound was better now than it was back in 1992, as no one owned the original. There would be many suggestions for improving the design and feel.
