The lesson, if you have the same kind of dimmer and replace 8 or fewer halogens with these leds you'll have to live with two levels of brightness (or leave one halogen in place) or figure out how to place a resistor in the circuit to fool the dimmer. My office space is much more comfortable since these bulbs radiate hardly any heat.

Update: 24 Aug 2023 Still working 8 months later I am very happy & thankful to have worked w/ this seller & now I have & know which bulbs work in my lights. I'm happy with these bulbs and, more importantly, so is the bride. Just be aware, apparently G8 halogen bulbs come in different dimensions, so check if you have the space for these.

I do have one small issue. After replacing all 8 halogens I was only seeing two levels (the lowest wasn't working). The color is similar to the old ones at full brightness, but whiter at the lower levels.

The LEDs offer more of a flood light effect on the counter compared to the halogens which you 'might' be able to see in the attached photo. I purchased the warm white ( a little bit more but easy on the eyes) see photos of single bulb (one is normal brightness and the other is dimmed mode)I used on a Microwave GE JVM7195DF1BB to replace the surface light that has a night light function that dims. Silicon coat on the glass makes it easy to grip and install without fear you’ll break the tiny bulb.

So overall, the trade offs from the halogen to LED are worth the change! LED bulbs produce a nice, white light where halogens had a yellowish cast. I do like the old, warmer light, but these work better with the rest of the LED recessed lights, so I do like the color of the light. Replaced my halogen bulbs with these LEDs.

In my case I was stirring something for a few minutes and the strobe or flicker was distracting. I considered not writing a review -- with over 800 already out here does there really need to be another. Lights arrived in light packaging, but not to worry, the lights are not glass! All three levels work.
