This book is amazing im super excited to try it. Not suitable for beginners, designs have their complexity. I have just got the book so I'll update this.

It is still worth it because the patterens are awe inspiring. When my mom makes me that scarf, I'll leave a comment about what the patterns are like to use.

But it does mean that when laid flat, the spine bends the pages which makes things difficult to read. I just didnt realise i would have to learn a whole new system to be able to read the patterns. Neither method is wrong, both are equal skills. It is charts.

Not everyone can read charts, not everyone can work from written out patterns. The "Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible" is a lovely book that does exactly that, taking us into a beautiful world of detailed possibilities with its intricate and gorgeous designs. For that, when making something I would probably photocopy the section needed to keep with my extensive project notes. I'm in English, I can't speak English, but I'm okay with a translator

That said, the book is fabulous, the nicest I own (and I definitely don't have a few of mesh books). It’s not easy, it is a skill not suitable or possible for everyone. The impression is very good. As a picture book alone, it deserves 5 stars.

The book is of very good quality. This is not lazy as some have suggested; it is just different. I can't imagine how long or how many people it took to do that. There are 260 schemes one more beautiful than the other, divided by techniques.

It's a short yet sweet area that shows an original pattern on the left with a variation of that pattern to the right. All the designs are excellent.
