Before purchasing, ensure that it is the HDMI to *MINI* HDMI cable that you require; and not just a standard HDMI. I'm seeing more and more devices with mini-HDMI ports these days. For some reason HDMI cable naming system is very unclear as to what specification version the cables are, but luckily it was detailed in the description here and it performs solidly. This Amazon Basics offering is their typical quality at a fair price.

I didn’t have to download any software, it just automatically connects. I purchased the 1. The wire seems to be good quality and I love that Amazon provides you with little covers for the ends. I hooked it up to a small handheld Android player I have and while I did noticed the screen was clipped slightly around the edges, I think I can adjust that on the TV monitor, and it's certainly not a fault with the cable.
