The idea is that you stick one end to the snitch and the other end to some other anchoring surface–this could be to your clothing, watch, wall, etc. The little snitch has wings that flap when you press a button and the threads used to attach the snitch are very fine and delicate, yet remarkably strong.

The Aramid fibre threads are very thin and hard to see, though the packaging says the threads are twice as strong as steel of the same thickness. This is a really lovely toy and show piece for the Harry Potter fans in your life. It is a very cool cosplay item for anyone attending such conventions and dressing up. The box comes with the Snitch, a display plinth, a Quidditch poster, 8 sets of "flying activators" which consist of: (a) 4 thin & 4 thinner micro-filament threads called Aramid hand-wrapped around a clear, plastic drum/post + (b) attachment putty; an aged parchment-like paper info sheet, detailed, thorough instruction sheet, and a URL for two youtube videos highlighting Snitch operation as well Light Painting Wands.

Wow! Uses an ‘Aramid’ thread (it’s almost invisible! I thought it would be fun to have it as a cake topper for my daughter's party and then delight guests as the Snitch takes off on its own as we get ready to cut the cake! There are eight putty/invisible string sets, and four of the sets are comprised of three fibers strands (stronger but easier to see), and four of the sets are two fiber strands (more invisible, for advanced users after practice).
