Don't usually write reviews, but I've been through several bug zappers in the past that have failed in various ways. You do not need a heavy gauge extension cord bec it draws very low voltage. Probably the best $53 I have ever spent!

Pretty sure they all make a zapping sound. It's hard to make the power connection look neat with it being so short. When the window is closed I can barely hear it and it doesn't keep me awake. Have purchased around 3 total replacement bulbs but the fixture itself has stood the test of Texas weather.

This bug zapper is the best I've ever had! The zap noise can be loud and repetitive at times.
