About this deal

Description

Gentle pressure is applied around the muzzle from the nose loop, communicating your reassuring control. The Beaphar Gentle Leader® is a unique and patented design that works by mimicking the natural muzzle grab, which more confident and higher-ranking dogs, and other canine species, perform in their pack. Join over four million dog owners who have found the secret to enjoying stress-free walks with their loyal friend. Gentle pressure is transferred to the back of the neck, naturally stimulating a relaxation response (the same as when a mother carries a puppy by the scruff of it’s neck). The Gentle Leader’s® unique triple action, design counters the instinct to pull. 3.

And then I met a lady on our walk and she said she can see it must be a hard work to walk him and showed us her gentle leader collar, so I immediately bought one from Amazon. ! This has literally changed our day-to-day life!

You can just slip it back on easily and carry on. Once they're out, they'll forget they have it on. She likes to zig zag and walk directly in front of me so I usually prefer the lead to be on the back of her neck so I'm not having to hook it under her chin to the right side all the time. When he decides to go and sniff a dog across the street it is a real struggle to stop him.

The media could not be loaded. I also bought a lead that I can tie around my waist and now I walk my dog almost hands free! I cannot believe how it makes such an instant difference. I was a little worried that it does not connect to the ordinary collar, but there is no way my dog can slip it off, and he automatically walks in the correct heel position.

Yes, your dog will hate it at first, but give them a little positive reinforcement while at home, and then immediately take them for a walk. Yes, my springer isn't the biggest fan, and spends at least 30 seconds each walk rubbing his nose along the ground trying to get it off. Having an eight months old Newfoundland male we started having difficulties walking him as he is getting strong as a horse. She can rarely walk more than 15 minutes so by the time she's calmed down enough to listen to instruction it's time to go home.

It is by no means a tool that makes your dog walk perfectly, and I do find that the lead being under her chin can make it a bit more difficult to control her direction. He is more alert to my commands, and generally doesn't even try going down into the rhino-like pose he used to pull me along with on walks.

I have a great dane cross bullmastiff who hasn't been able to have much lead training at all thanks to problems with her legs. Very impressed Literally life changing! Better than collars OR harnesses.
