the original sealed tape was still intact. I ended up keeping the Rose Gold iron and I Super-Glued the crack. the iron and the charging base looked fine.

I later bought some as gifts in different colors for relatives, and found a back-up one in Rose Gold for myself, but so far, I haven't needed to use it. This little guy may be small, but it's mighty! The outer shipping box was intact. BEWARE!

There's no restricting pull when I have to go to a further end of my fabric, no tangling or dangling that attracts my cat and no danger of tripping over a cord or snagging up a corner of my ironing mat. My original that's now three years old has been wonderful! Three heat settings for the iron, low, medium and high.
