It works better thank I thought it would. But I instead used them on my hood. My carrier is lightweight and sturdy and the length is adjustable.

They hold really strong when flush, takes two hands to pry it off. i love these mounts i have a 52in curved bar on them i have done 70mph in heavy snow didnt budge, offroading didnt budge plus the rubber doesnt mess up your paint and easy to move around depending on your need as a light bar on roof or hood or work light i would recommed them It has yet to fall down after hitting bumps in a field and also with the auger shaking. I had to relocate this rear view work light which used to sit above my third brake light.

Works great for the Zombie car project. I bought these after reading the reviews from other skeptics and was kinda skeptical on how well they would hold up myself but after having them on for the last month it's safe to say that these will hold up going at least 80 mph on a bumpy freeway. It is easy to remove and store when it is not needed.

I love that I didn’t have to drill any holes in my roof, and that it’s far enough back that I don’t have to deal with wind noise or the light reflecting off my hood (like if it was mounted above the windshield). Don’t worry, they are plenty strong if you use them correctly. I was trying to really give them a good jolt with the choice of freeway I used and the light bar didn't even move.

Great price and it hangs on for dear life Very secure, but did not work on my roof as I hoped. I'm glad I didn't have to drill holes on the roof. Once it sits on my steel rear bumper it takes alot to try and pull it off.
