I was about to buy the vortex Radian with ball head when I saw a video about this tripod. Aguanta tot el que li posis al damunt! Robust, estable, dona seguretat. I wish that I had saved the money I paid for those mid range tripods.

KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID. I use this tripod for astrophotography where extra stability is needed.

I used the KOPFGER sp? Only thing to mention is it is a lot more chunky than shown in the photos, i just managed to hang it off the side of my backpack, so i'll be interested how it goes on a long hike. It is a perfect combo of stability and lightweight for packing.

I live Vortex products but know that the tripods are produced overseas like much of the optics. Because I am so happy with this tripod.

I was intrigued by the ability to mount a rifle. Awesome value for money. By the way, I though they forgot to include the bowl which is in a flap on the inside of the wide end of the carrying case. Bought this tripod predominately for my large format camera, and wow, this thing is rock solid.

This tripod handles it with ease even for 4-5 hour motion nighttime Milky Way time lapses. "KISS". A well thought out design.
