Bought in summer 2019 and christened on the second hottest day ever recorded (25th July 2019) when somewhere in the UK reached 38. This helps manage delays when many people approach the table at the same time--all the shots staye ice cold. 1 degrees. shots one at a time.

I simply used gel packs that comes with food and medicine packages shipped. The only negative is the ice pad does not get really cold which sort of defeats the entire purpose.

It wasn't quite as hot as that where I was but it was so hot that, despite two cooling desk fans in the kitchen and window blind down, while I was making fruit turnovers my handmade pastry started to melt! I looked at lots on Amazon first and they're all expensive. I conduct tasting events for adult beverages at stores and restaurants. If you're holding a BBQ for a large family (or for even more people), having only one of these won't be enough.

However, it's very expensive for what you get, and I only use two or three times, in the summer, so I don't feel I've got my money's worth quite yet. In the past, I simply poured 1/2 oz.

I made a berry meringue roulade and used this cooler to store it and serve it on, perfect, although the meringue cracked lifting it up onto the cool plate. Help it by refreshing the cooling from time to time, and don't leave it in direct sunlight = direct warmth. The footprint is a good size if serving for a small family, or bite-sized items for a club buffet.

Don't expect miracles - it's a cooler not a fridge. They stay frozen for 12 hours minimum. This device lets me pre-pour multiple shots in advance of customers coming to my table.
