Zola set the standard with Theresa Raquin . The basic premise has been done to death : Woman persuades her Lover to murder her Husband .
Or maybe not ! ! And it begins to look like either its gonna be him or her . On the end of a rope !
You know its never going to end well for one or other of the murderous couple or more usually both . But Love conquers all !
