The more expensive Axminster saws have a quick change mechanism but these cost £500+. Bought this a while ago and it was cheap so not expecting too much and didn't think I would use frequently. If you're doing a project with lots of holes this is very time consuming. It is robust, a bit noisy but not a problem if wearing ear defenders, cuts well after practise and on 25mm wood as well as hardwoods.

How wrong was I. If you have the cash buy one otherwise I can recommend this one. My only real issue with this (and most other scroll saws )is release mechanism. To insert blade in each hole in turn you have to use an Allen key which is very fidley and frequently the bottom fixing drops out of its slot.

Only problem I have had was the air nozzle failed due to constant use but contacted UK supplier and obtained replacements at very low cost.
