Buy it with confidence as I did, you will be most unlikely to be disappointed. Either way though it's working fine so far. As stated, 100% reliability so far. From my research this product was the cheapest gigabit switch at the time of buying.

Buying a budget POE switch isn’t as easy as it seems. It should be noted this doesn’t support POE+ so anything that is power hungry may struggle. 3at which is one of the two common used POE standards.

You can have two separate groups of 2+ ports each. It’s been in the loft for 3 months and I haven’t had any connection drops and I haven’t needed to restart it.

I’ve never had any problems whatsoever and would happily buy more of these. If you don't have the need for POE, buy its cheaper sibling, the SG108, which does the same, without the POE ability, at half the price. So these are great if you have new superfast fibre. The switch itself works great, just plug and go.

The required slotted holes in the bottom of the unit are NOT there. They are very easy to use.

no configuration whatsoever required. This product isn’t rack mountable and unlike most switches the lights are on the opposite side to the plugs, this means depending on the orientation of the switch you have to turn it round to check if it’s connected, however it does look neat if it’s on a table with the cables passing down the back. I spent a long term researching all the available options, and these seemed to be the best value for full gigabit switches that also offered PoE+.
