Usually, I read Adult Fantasy, but I decided to take a break from this genre and read something different. All the time we follow Steven who is trying to control his emotions and powers and I liked the development. The book is a debut and it's definitely a great start.
The characters were well built, there were no unnecessary things, and everything went easy and exciting. Steven is definitely an interesting character, but I liked his girlfriend Freya too. However, what I liked most of all was the association of Steven's emotions with superpowers that were very different and interesting.
Now a little about the story itself. My rate is 3,5/5 stars Thank you #NetGalley for the e-sampler and to 'Readers First' for providing me with a copy of the book and I wish the new young author success with the next books. Overall, while I didn't find myself completely invested in the story, I do see the appeal of it.
