Lily’s dad made me lol a few times. She meets another teenager, a meeting of minds, if you like, which starts a very dark and twisted tale of events. Henry is now working as a private detective, when an old student from Henry’s short time spent as a teacher, walks into his office asking him to follow her husband. Swanson’s writing style neatly builds up each character’s backstory until all the connections are transparent, and then he hits you with a twist.
