The looks is very authentic from 30 years ago. I have three of these phones in various colours to match my rooms. How complicated is a Dial - unless you have fat fingers. Feels a lot lighter than the original 'real' models, but guess that is due to the electronics inside, rather than the original mechanism to generate the pulses.

I received calls without problems and could hear people who called me better than on my previous modern landline phone, the line was very clear. I found it very loud when talking on it, even when I set volume at normal, it had been set at high.

I paid for that second phone. Plug the Line-cord into the base, and the socket adapter, plug that into the socket. I love all three. You can even surprise friends with the ring sound.

Have not tried the * yet ) the noise it makes when dialing a number is a lot faster than on the previous one. I paid for the first one too and got refunded as faulty. As a result the number was not recognised and would not dial out.
