The drawback is that the audiocard sticks out, and there's no way to mount it on the left side to the case. The chinese version was bleak, and metal had some kind of irregularity. I've got sceptical it would work this time.

Tried two different PCI cards in three different PCs in 1x , 4x and 16x slots and never could get a new device to show in the device manager. Time will tell if they works all the time. At least, it detected the PCI cards I put in it and they functioned for their purpose. Worked excellent with my m-audio delta 1010.

So it will be a bit of DIY, or just hanging out loosely. They said I should contact the retailer I purchased it from as as for a refund or a new card. I thought I would never be able to use my RME HDSP PCI any longer with the new motherboards not having the PCI slots, but this adapter changed this problem.

First I purchased a cheaper chinese version, and it even didn't start. But hey, it wasn't designed that way anyway. I am using an Asus X99 motherboard, Intel I7 processor and on a Windows 10 64bit OS.

But once it was delivered, I was fascinated with the build quality: the metal shines, the colors are vibrant, and it looks like a solid piece of equipment. This adapter is worth every penny. The first card I received did not work. Running Windows 10, they both popped up right in my device manager with no issues.
