Everything added to the central plot and that plot developed beautifully with a few twist in between to keep you on your toes. A truly magical tale, and one that I would recommend to children and adults alike. Utterly enchanted story with strong empathetic characters and oodles of magic. Three magical objects hold the key to their future, can the sisters work together to free themselves from the curse, or will it prove itself unbreakable?

Atmosphere - This book really went a place I wasn’t expecting, the sisters die if they don’t follow the curse like that’s some serious consequences. Happily, there are more adventures to come, so when you reach the end of the book, do not despair, we will get to visit the Widdershins again! I recommend this back for children 8+ since some words a younger child might not be able to understand!

Their determination to work together, to defeat the odds and save each other is the heart of the story and is in sharp contrast to the relationship between Sorsha and her sister Prue. This is a journey you won't want to abandon, and will need to stay with the girls until the very last page. It is one of those books that you will keep thinking of in real life, every now and then. Can’t wait to read another Widdershins adventure this February.
